We've reached 500!

The day started off like yesterday: Half an hour before sunrise, with low temperatures and no clouds to be seen. During our first control we captured to Robins and thus reached 500 ringed birds for this season!!
Our next controls were similar to yesterdays with maybe two and sometimes zero birds. But nevertheless the day was exciting and the sun kept shining in the cloudless sky to warm us up. In the end we were able to catch a total of 15 new and five already ringed birds. One of the latter was a Dunnock which was ringed as a young bird in Juli of last year.

Svend Aage also came by today with bread and pastries for us and drove Morten to the train station after we had closed the nets at 12:30 since he will be going home for a few days.

The rest of the day I enjoyed the warm sun and went for a walk on the beach just like many tourists did.
