Loon after loon
Ringing (Michael):
Last night, we (Lærke and I) went out for nightcatching. We started of strong with a recapture of a skylark from may (mine of course;)), but from then it was quit. After a while, we came across a wader on the path. I thought because of the stones it would be impossible to catch, but who knows. It ended up to be a golden plover, and after a slow and quit chase I managed to catch it.
After this catch it was quit for a while again, but after a while we managed to catch a meadow pipit, a recapture of another skylark from may and a new skylark. Not too bad!
The morning ringing felt slow, we caught mainly chaffinches (10 in total) in the beginning, and later on some chiffchaffs (14 in total). The total number of the ringing was 39 new birds and 4 recaptures. The best species of today where 2 siskins.
