Spring will not come!

Weather: temperature -1° to max. + 1°; strong breeze from East (84°) 11 m/s gusting up to 19 m/s. Some sunny spots between the clouds.

With this weather conditions no ringing too today. Harsh conditions for all the wildlife especial for insect or invertebrate looking birds. Sadly I found a dead Eurasian wren (Troglodytidae – Gærdesmutte - Zaunkönig) with a ring.

It looks like a few common blackbirds (Turdus merula - Solsorten – Amseln) and song thrushes (Turdus philomelos – Sangdrossel - Singdrossel) found the way to Blavandshuk today. Hopefully they will find some food. The gulls (Laridae – Mågefugle - Möwen) were not really visible. Always good for them to have the opportunity to fly to a sheltered place at the hinterland.

Lovely to see 3 nothern lapwings (Vanellus vanellus - Viben - Kiebitze) flying along the west coast direction North.
